Our mission to provide guidance to both individuals and families for the right resources and assistance they can use during unexpected circumstance. 

Who We Are

The purpose of this nonprofit is to act as a community support system. If you are feeling overwhelmed by financial obligations, worried about your families health or well-being or stressed about an unexpected circumstance or situation – let us help you. We are here to help, guide and advocated for you. We know who to talk to, where to turn and the right questions to ask.

Who We Service 

Our target audience is more towards the low income working class, unemployed, mental health, and ex-offending communities; however, we do not discriminate in helping high to medium income communities. In addition, Spread The Purple also will provide educational tools that will allow an individual or family to continue their efforts to strive in a positive light.

 
Why Spread The Purple

Spread The Purple was founded in 2012 by Maryange Ariste and over the past years, it has strived to build a better future for the low income working class, unemployed, mental health, and ex-offending communities. The  organization offers free educational resources and builds a bridge between local community partners and our clients.
 

We are often asked “why the name Spread the Purple?” The color purple has been associated with power, nobility and wealth throughout history. The dye for the color purple was considered to be very expensive, so only the wealthy were able to wear it. Since our organization assist individuals build towards a future of stability and prosperity, it seemed appropriate that we strived to “Spread The Purple”.
