Save A Toy Christmas Event

 

Save A Toy is a dinner party that is hosted every December month, a week before Christmas. This is where we collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community, with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies.  Spread The Purple has close working relationships with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies which are well qualified to identify the needy children in the community and play important roles in the distribution of the toys the week of Christmas.

Our goal is to help less fortunate children throughout the Essex County, New Jersey experience the joy of Christmas. In addition, through the veil of purple, helping to unite all members of local communities in a common cause at our Christmas dinner each December during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign.

 

A person or group can contribute in several ways. You can bring an unwrapped toy on the day of our Christmas Dinner event in December, host a Save A Toy event at your home, office or other venue and collect toys for Spread The Purple's schedule pick up, or Sponsor a toy(s) to a less fortunate child.
