Housing Support

Provides limited financial assistance to low- and moderate-income tenants; homeowners in imminent danger of eviction or foreclosure due to temporary financial problems; and the homeless pollution, beyond his/her control. Funds are used to disburse payments in the forms of loans and grants to landlords and/or mortgage companies on behalf of eligible households in danger of homelessness.

Real Estate Grants

On May 29, 2009, the face of home buying in the United States changed dramatically. It was on that date that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development issued a statement saying that there would be an $8,000 credit from the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for first time home buyers to be used toward the purchase of a home insured by the Federal Housing Administration.

In reality, this meant that, as a first time home buyer, you could receive a short-term loan for the $8,000 and, upon receiving the tax credit; you could pay back the loan. Today, it’s a buyer’s market, and the incentives in real estate are incredible.
